Teacher Bio
Hi, there!
My name is Mrs. DeCoste. I've lived in southern New Hampshire my whole life. I graduated from Rivier University in 2017 with my bachelor's degree in elementary education. Being a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was a child and used to play "school" with my two little brothers. After completing observations in a fourth grade class as a sophomore in college and student teaching in fourth grade, I discovered that this is my absolute favorite grade to teach, and I'm thrilled to be here at MACS teaching your fantastic fourth graders!
My husband, Adam, works as a store manager at a national hardwood flooring store. We currently live in New Boston, New Hampshire, with our sweet, energetic dog, Luna. I love to read and do my best to instill a love of reading in my students! I also love to bake, hike, and spend time with my big, crazy family.
As a teacher, I try to bring life and enthusiasm into every lesson. I believe that students will only be excited and eager to learn if they see that same excitement in their teacher! I also aim to create a strong sense of trust, collaboration, and community in my classroom. To this end, I utilize Responsive Classroom techniques whenever possible in my daily instruction.
I look forward to teaching and learning with your students throughout the year!
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of the site!
